Methods of Cemented Carbide Machining:
Due to its extremely high hardness, Tungsten Carbide cannot be machined using traditional processes such as turning, milling, or drilling. While special tools like PCD tools, CBN tools, and Ceramic Tools can be used, they tend to lose their sharpness quickly. At Yize Mould, we prefer to grind Tungsten Carbide using diamond tools or machine it using electrical discharge machining (EDM), micro-EDM, or ultra-precision wire EDM. Our state-of-the-art machines and technologies are specifically adapted for the machining of Tungsten Carbide.
