Tungsten carbide punch pins, also known as punches or punches, with the English name “punch-pin,” are an essential topic when discussing stamping dies. Punch pins are indispensable accessories during the operation of stamping dies, falling into the category of replaceable die consumables.

Depending on material, shape, and application, punch pins can be classified into various types such as SKD, SKH, ASP punch pins, guide punches, mother-and-child punch pins, thread-drawing punch pins, detection pins, hexagonal punch pins, elliptical punch pins, forming punch pins, fan-shaped punches, special-shaped punch pins, high-speed steel punch pins, and tungsten carbide punch pins. In cold stamping processes, tungsten carbide stamping dies are used to process materials (whether metal or nonmetal) into parts (or semifinished products). Tungsten carbide stamping is a pressure processing method conducted at room temperature, where molds installed on press machines apply pressure to the material, causing it to separate or undergo plastic deformation, thereby obtaining the required parts. When the mold is equipped with mold accessories such as punch pins, it directly contacts the material, enabling material separation or plastic deformation to achieve the desired parts. As an indispensable technological equipment in stamping production, stamping dies represent technology-intensive products.
